Surah Al-Fajr presents three destroyed civilizations as direct evidence of divine justice in operation: ‘Ad, the people of Prophet Hud built with unmatched physical power; Thamud, who carved their homes into mountains; and Pharaoh (Fir’awn), the archetype of political tyranny and claimed divinity.
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ
Alam tara kayfa fa’ala rabbuka bi-‘Ād

“O reassured soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My servants and enter My Paradise.” (Al-Fajr 89:27–30)
