Arabic:
إِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ
Transliteration:
Inna Allaha ya’murukum an tu’addū al-amānāti ilā ahlihā wa idhā ḥakamtum baynan-nāsi an taḥkumū bil-‘adl
Translation:
“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people, judge with justice.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:58)

3. Humility

Arabic:
وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا
Transliteration:
Wa lā tamshi fil-arḍi maraḥā
Translation:
“And do not walk upon the earth with arrogance.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:37)

4. Forgiveness

Arabic:
فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللّٰهِ
Transliteration:
Faman ‘afā wa aṣlaḥa fa-ajruhu ‘alā Allāh
Translation:
“And whoever pardons and makes reconciliation—their reward is with Allah.” (Surah Ash-Shura 42:40)

5. Patience

Arabic:
وَاصْبِرُوْا إِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Transliteration:
Waṣbirū inna Allāha ma‘a aṣ-ṣābirīn
Translation:
“And be patient—indeed, Allah is with the patient.” (Surah Al-Anfal 8:46)

6. Honesty

Arabic:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Transliteration:
Yā ayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ittaqū Allāha wa kūnū ma‘a aṣ-ṣādiqīn
Translation:
“O believers, fear Allah and be with the truthful.” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:119)

7. Repelling Evil with Good

Arabic:
ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
Transliteration:
Idfa‘ billatī hiya aḥsan
Translation:
“Repel evil with what is best.” (Surah Fussilat 41:34)

8. Controlling Anger

Arabic:
وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ
Transliteration:
Wal-kāẓimīna al-ghayẓa wal-‘āfīna ‘ani-n-nās
Translation:
“Those who restrain anger and pardon others.” (Surah Aal-Imran 3:134)

9. Avoiding Mockery and Insults

Arabic:
لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّنْ قَوْمٍ
Transliteration:
Lā yaskhar qawmun min qawm
Translation:
“Let not one group mock another.” (Surah Al-Hujurat 49:11)

10. Speaking Gently

Arabic:
وَقُلْ لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّيْسُورًا
Transliteration:
Wa qul lahum qawlan maysūrā
Translation:
“And speak to them gentle words.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:28)

وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا
Transliteration:
Wa qul lahumā qawlan karīmā

“And speak to them with noble words.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:23)

Arabic:
وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Transliteration:
Wa aḥsinū inna Allāha yuḥibbul-muḥsinīn
Translation:
“And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:195)

13. Avoiding Gossip and Backbiting

Arabic:
وَلَا يَغْتَبْ بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا
Transliteration:
Wa lā yaghtab ba‘ḍukum ba‘ḍā
Translation:
“And do not backbite one another.” (Surah Al-Hujurat 49:12)

14. Fulfilling Promises

Arabic:
وَأَوْفُوا بِالْعَهْدِ إِنَّ الْعَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْئُولًا
Transliteration:
Wa awfū bil-‘ahdi inna al-‘ahda kāna mas’ūlā
Translation:
“And fulfill the covenant; indeed, the covenant will be questioned.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:34)

15. Fair Speech

Arabic:
وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا
Transliteration:
Wa idhā qultum fa‘dilū
Translation:
“And when you speak, be just.” (Surah Al-An’am 6:152)

16. Moderation in Behavior

Arabic:
وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ
Transliteration:
Waqṣid fī mashyik
Translation:
“And be moderate in your pace.” (Surah Luqman 31:19)

17. Mercy and Compassion

Arabic:
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ
Transliteration:
Thumma kāna mina alladhīna āmanū wa tawāṣaw biṣ-ṣabri wa tawāṣaw bil-marḥamah
Translation:
“Then he was among the believers, encouraging one another to patience and mercy.” (Surah Al-Balad 90:17)

18. Avoiding Arrogance

Arabic:
إِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ
Transliteration:
Inna Allāha lā yuḥibbu kulla mukhtālin fakhūr
Translation:
“Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.” (Surah Luqman 31:18)

19. Keeping Trusts

Arabic:
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ
Transliteration:
Walladhīna hum li-amānātihim wa ‘ahdihim rā‘ūn
Translation:
“And those who honor their trusts and promises” (Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:8)

20. Patience and Righteous Deeds

Arabic:
وَيَدْفَعُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ
Transliteration:
Wa yadfa‘ūna bil-ḥasanati as-sayyi’ah
Translation:
“And they repel evil with good.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:22)

21. Gentleness in Speech

Arabic:
فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا
Transliteration:
Faqūlā lahu qawlan layyinan
Translation:
“And speak to him with gentle speech.” (Surah Taha 20:44)

Arabic:
وَإِذَا حُيِّيۡتُمۡ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحۡسَنَ مِنۡهَآ أَوۡ رُدُّوهَا
Transliteration:
Wa idhā ḥuyyītum bi-taḥiyyatin faḥayyū bi-aḥsana minhā aw rudduhā
Translation:
“When you are greeted with a greeting, respond with one better than it or return it [in the same manner].” (Surah An-Nisa 4:86)

23. Avoiding Envy

Arabic:
وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ
Transliteration:
Wa lā tatamannaw mā faḍḍalallāhu bihi ba‘ḍakum ‘alā ba‘ḍ
Translation:
“And do not wish for that by which Allah has favored some of you over others.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:32)

Arabic:
وَقُلْ حَقًّا
Transliteration:
Wa qul ḥaqqā
Translation:
“And speak the truth.” (Surah Al-An’am 6:152)
