In times like these, we do everything in our power to ensure they receive the best medical care. But as Muslims, we also turn to Allah with heartfelt prayers, asking Him to heal and protect our children.

let’s explore some meaningful Du’as for the health and well-being of our children. But first let’s remind ourselves of the importance of making supplication with a faithful heart, fully believing that Allah hears us and will answer our prayers.
“وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُون”
[And when My servants ask you, [O Muḥammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.]
Du’a for an ill Child in Sunnah
“In the name of Allah, I recite Ruqyah over you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye. May Allah heal you. In the name of Allah, I recite Ruqyah over you.”
Transliteration: | Bismillahi arqeek, min kulli shay’in yu’theek, wa min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin hasid. Allahu yashfeek. Bismillahi arqeek. |

O Allah, heal my child and grant him well-being. O Allah, heal them and grant them well-being. We ask Allah to grant them healing and good health
Transliteration: | Allahumma ishfi tifli wa ‘afihi. Allahumma ishfihi wa ‘afihi. Nas’alullaha laho ash-shifa’a wal-‘afiyah. |

“Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.”
Transliteration: | Adhhib al-ba’sa Rabban-nas, washfi Anta ash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uk, shifa’an la yughadiru saqaman. |

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain, and say ‘Bismillah’ (In the name of Allah) three times. Then say seven times, ‘A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir’ (I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and fear).
In the name of Allah, with the dust of our earth and the saliva of some of us, our sick will be healed by the permission of our Lord.

Comprehensive Du’a for Sick Child
O Allah, I ask You by Your Greatest Name, by which if You are called upon, You respond, and if You are asked, You give, to heal (child’s name) and grant him/her health and well-being, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
Transliteration: | Allahumma inni as’aluka bismika al-azham alladhi idha du’ita bihi ajabta, wa idha su’ilta bihi a’tayta, an tashfi (name of child), wa an tamuddahu bil-sihhati wal-‘afiyah, ya Arhamar-Rahimin. |

O Allah, I ask You by every name that is Yours, which You have named Yourself with, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to bestow upon (child’s name) a speedy and complete recovery. Indeed, You are capable of all things.
Transliteration: | Allahumma inni as’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw ista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilmi al-ghaybi ‘indak, an tamunn ‘ala (name of child) bil-shifa’ al-‘ajil ghayr al-ajil, innaka ‘ala dhalika qadeer. |
| In Arabic: | اللهم إني أسألك بكل اسم هو لك سميت به نفسك، أو علمته أحدًا من خلقك، أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك أن تمنن على (اسم الطفل) بالشفاء العاجل غير الآجل إنك على ذلك لقدير. |
O Allah, heal this small body that has been weakened by illness, for there is no one to help except You, O Most Generous of those who show generosity.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ishfi hadha al-jasad as-sagheer alladhi anhakahu al-marad, wa laysa lahu ahad siwak, ya Akram al-Akrameen. |
| In Arabic: | اللهم اشفِ هذا الجسد الصغير الذي أنهكه المرض، وليس له أحد سواك يا أكرم الأكرمين. |
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne, You are capable of all things. Heal (child’s name) by Your power and mercy, which encompasses everything, O Lord of all worlds.
Transliteration: | Allahumma Rabb as-samawati as-sab’ wa Rabb al-‘Arsh al-‘Azheem, Anta al-Qadir ‘ala kulli shay’, ishfi (name al-tifl) bi-qudratika wa rahmatika allati wasi’at kulla shay’, ya Rabb al-‘Alameen. |

O Allah, heal our children and grant them well-being. O Allah, protect their health and strength, ease any pain they feel, and keep all harm away from them, O Lord of the worlds.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ishfi atfalana wa anzil ‘alayhim al-‘afiyah. Allahumma ihfaz sihhatihim wa quwatahum, wa khaffif ‘anhum kulla alam yash’uroona bihi, wa ab’id ‘anhum kulla darr ya Rabb al-‘alameen. |

O Allah, heal our children and grant them well-being. O Allah, protect their health and strength, ease any pain they feel, and keep all harm away from them, O Lord of the worlds.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ishfi atfalana wa anzil ‘alayhim al-‘afiyah. Allahumma ihfaz sihhatihim wa quwatahum, wa khaffif ‘anhum kulla alam yash’uroona bihi, wa ab’id ‘anhum kulla darr ya Rabb al-‘alameen. |
| In Arabic: | اللهم اشفِ أطفالنا وأنزل عليهم العافية اللهم احفظ صحتهم وقوتهم وخفف عنهم كل ألم يشعرون به وأبعد عنهم كل ضرر يا رب العالمين |
O Lord, You are the one who soothes hearts, and from You dreams come true. O Allah, heal our children with a speedy recovery, and be their support, comforter, and helper.
Transliteration: | Rabb biKa tatibu al-khawatir wa min ‘indika tatahaqqaq al-umniyat. Allahumma ishfi atfalana shifa’an ‘ajilan wa kun lahum sanda wa jabiran wa mu’eena. |

O Allah, the One who makes the difficult easy, softens the iron, and fulfills promises, bring our sick children and the sick among the Muslims out of the tightness of hardship into the vastness of ease. Through You, repel from the Muslims what they cannot bear. There is no power nor strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ya Musahhil al-shadeed wa Mulayyin al-hadeed wa ya Munjiz al-wa’eed, akhrij atfalana al-maradha wa marda al-muslimeen min halaq al-dheeq ila awsa’ al-tareeq. Bika idfa’ ‘an al-muslimeen ma la yuteeqoon, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah al-‘Aliyy al-‘Azheem. |
| In Arabic: | اللهم يا مسهل الشديد وملين الحديد ويا منجز الوعيد، أخرج أطفالنا المرضى ومرضى المسلمين من حلق الضيق إلى أوسع الطريق بك ادفع عن المسلمين ما لا يطيقون ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلى العظيم |
O Allah, heal my child and all the sick among the Muslims from all illnesses, those that are apparent and those that are hidden. O Allah, the treatment has prolonged for them, and we have called upon You seeking healing, so do not reject our supplication. O Allah, ease the pain of every sick person.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ishfi tifli wa marda al-muslimeen min jami’ al-amradh ma dhahara minha wa ma batan. Allahumma innahu qad tala bihim al-dawa’ wa da’awnaka talaban lil-shifa’, fala tarud lana du’a’. Allahumma khaffif ‘ala kulli mareed. |
| In Arabic: | اللهم اشفِ طفلي ومرضى المسلمين من جميع الأمراض ما ظهر منها وما بطن اللهم إنَّه قد طال بهم الدواء ودعوناك طلبًا للشفاء فلا ترد لنا دعاء اللهم خفف على كل مريض |
O Allah, the One who restores the sick to health and answers the supplication of the distressed, O Lord, heal our children, ease their pain, return their health to them, and open the door of healing for them, O Lord.
Transliteration: | Allahumma ya man tu’eedu al-mareed li-sihhatihi wa tastajeebu du’a al-ba’is, ya Rabb ishfi wa khaffif ‘an atfalana alamahum wa rudd ilayhim ‘afiyatahum wa iftah bab al-shifa’ lahum ya Rabb. |
